3 killed, many injured in Gweru-Kwekwe road accident today

GWERU: 3 people were killed today while many others suffered serious injuries following  a commuter mini bus accident along the Bulawayo-Harare highway, between  Kwekwe and Gweru today.

According to reports from Gweru, the deceased were all killed on the spot.

The injured have since been taken to Gweru General Hospital for treatment.

The accident happened when the  Nissan Caravan commuter omnibus swerved to the right lane, overturned and rolled several times before plunging into a stream.

Eyewitnesses said the driver failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the vehicle and it rolled several times throwing passengers outside before landing on its side in a nearby stream. ZBC
