It was reported earlier that the ex-Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda has been sent to Zimbabwe to convince President Robert Mugabe to resign.
He did not travel to Zimbabwe.
A BBC staffer communicated with Mr Kaunda’s son who told her he was next to him watching the events unfold on TV and had not been asked to go to Zimbabwe.
