Kasukuwere doomed: Being investigated by Zanu PF, Rigged Norton election the wrong way

Minister Saviour Kasukuwere rigged the Norton by-election and caused Zanu PF loss, the rulling party has revealed.

According to reports, Kasukuwere is a dead man walking after he was singled out as the main reason for Zanu PF’s loss in last week’s election that was won by former party member Temba Mliswa.

Kasukuwere is facing many accusations including the imposition of Ronald Chindedza, a well known thief, as the party’s candidate for the by-election.

A licked audio clip reveales that dirty money exchanged hands to inflate votes in favour of Chindedza who only got 7 votes in the primary election.

But the results were “cooked” at the instigation of Kasukuwere who wanted his man in the driving seat.

As a result of the imposition, Zanu-PF eventually lost the seat to independent candidate Mr Temba Mliswa.

Yesterday, Kasukuwere switched off his phone when he was confronted with the information.

Kasukuwere has is now facing uncertain future as Zanu-PF  has already started an investigation on his misconduct.

Party secretary  for Administration Ignatius Chombo is leading the investigation.

“I want to listen to it and study it so that we can see what we can do with him,” Chombo said.

According to the audio clip, Kasukuwere ordered the inflation of the results through his crony, Harare provincial commissar Shadreck Mashayamombe.

Initially, according to the clip, people involved in the election process refused to manipulate the results but only gave in after being told that the order had come from Kasukuwere.

Some police officers who were present were called to witness the manipulation.

“Ava vauya kwandiri vari kuti ndichinje number hanzi zvabva kuna political commissar (national) VaKasukuwere asi vauya through Shadreck Mashayamombe,” said one of the speakers in the clip.

Kasukuwere is already facing a number of allegations and is reportedly being investigated by VP Mnangagwa with the full support of  the president’s office  over illegal sale of Hwange elephants to China.
