Juvenile (6) goes missing, police launches probe

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is appealing for information which may assist to locate a six year old male juvenile, Beverly Chifausipo of Temperly Farm, Lionsden Chinhoyi.

The missing person was last seen on 28/02/23 at around 1200 hours on his way from school at Chifundi Farm, Chinhoyi.

ZRP is calling on anyone with information to contact ZRP Murereka on 0773461102 or national complaints desk 0242 703631 or report at any nearest police station.

While it is yet to be established as to what could happened to the juvenile, cases of child abduction have been a cause for concern in Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe is signatory to the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.

This gives effect within Zimbabwe to the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction which was signed at the Hague on the 25th October, 1980, and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

This Act shall come into operation on a date fixed by the President through statutory instrument.
