Legendary crooner, Jeys Marabini has expressly revealed that he is itching for a call from President Emmerson Mnangagwa for him to perform at a function to be graced by the Zimbabwean strongman.
Marabini (real name Majahawodwa Ndlovu), said Mnangagwa last month endorsed his music, saying the septuagenarian promised to invite him for a performance at State House in the capital. This was after the Bulawayo artist had made a top-drawer performance at a function attended by Mnangagwa.
“Soon after (my) performance, the President dispatched his aide to call me. I got very much happy when the President said he never knew there was such talent in Bulawayo. (He) invited me for a performance and lunch at State House”, said Jeys.
“We are now waiting to be called by the office of the President ….for us to head to Harare to meet up with (Mnangagwa)”, he said.
