Jerome Galiao, a Zimbabwean actor based in South Africa known for his role as Dr Nyasha Mugari in the soap opera Scandal, has been arrested on charges of domestic violence against his wife, Nerissa.
The incident was reported to the Linden Police Station under reference number CAS 280/3/2023, and he is expected to appear in court today.
Nerissa declined to comment and requested privacy.
According to a close source, this is not the first time Jerome has been violent towards his wife.
Jerome started his acting career in Zimbabwe with Estate Blues and later became a presenter on Youth.com.
He has also worked as a model, featuring in several TV adverts for well-known brands, and is a fitness trainer and brown belt judo marshal.
Jerome has always been vocal about his humble beginnings in Harare and his message to his fans is to go after their dreams and not let anyone discourage them.
