It’s pure lies to say Zimbabwe’s economy was ruined by corruption, says Obert Gutu

Ex MDC senior official, Obert Gutu says it is a lie to claim that Zimbabwe’s economy was ruined by corruption, but sanctions.

Gutu says the opposition in the country is selling a false narrative that the country is struggling economically because of corruption.

“They lie to you that Zimbabwe’s economy has been degraded by corruption.

“Lies.
Pure, Unadulterated lies.

“Zimbabwe’s economy was ravaged by more than 2 decades of illegal sanctions aimed at forcing regime change.

“Corruption is actually domiciled in the Puppet opposition,” he says.

Meanwhile, the country is struggling economically because of mismanagement and corruption according to market watchers.
