The Zimbabwe Ant-Corruption Commission(ZACC) wants to set the record straight on the arrest of the Anglican Bishop Erik Ruwona: “he and his accomplices took a loan from Agribank of USD700.000.00 in 2016 purportedly for the construction of St Catherine Girls School Rusape and converted the loan to personal use”.
ZACC was forced to set the record straight after state media reported that Ruwona was nabbed over compulsory sale of church bibles and hymn books to students:
”Manicaland Diocese Anglican Bishop, Eric Ruwona, has been arrested by officers from the Anti Corruption Commission over the alleged compulsory sale of bibles and hymn books to pupils seeking places at Anglican schools in the province.’
