Lundi Tyamara is dead, death announced by singer’s family, passed away at age 38

Celebrated South African gospel musician Lundi Tyamara has died.

He passed away this morning, today, 27 January 2016.

The talented musician’s condition took a turn for the worst when he was transferred to intensive care unit at Netcare as his internal organs started to fail.

He has been breathing through life support machines since last week and he could not talk.

His manager Anele Hlazo had made an appeal to his  fans and  supporters to offer prayers for Tyamara as his condition  took a turn for the worse two days ago.

“We just pray for a miracle. Otherwise, his situation is bad”, he said.

Tyamara is one of South Africa’s most celebrated gospel singers. His hit single Mphefumlo Wami turned him into a household name.

Lundi was first admitted to hospital in December 2016 after returning from a trip to China.
