A nursing mother fled her vending post when Industry and Commerce minister, Sithembiso Nyoni, was touring wholesalers and tuck shops in downtown yesterday.
Apparently, she left a toddler who was sleeping in a makeshift bed behind.
Nyoni took several pictures of the toddler with her mobile phone despite accompanying media.
The mother eventually returned after observing that her ‘business’ was not under threat.
Vendors are targeted by police and Council authorities for trading at undesignated areas.
