In-form Zim Warriors goalkeeper Elvis Chipezeze named Baroka FC captain

In-form Zimbabwe Warriors goal minder Elvis Chipezeze who turned his life around following a disastrous Afcon show in Egypt is now team captain for Baroka FC.

The Zimbabwean goalkeeper has confirmed that he is the new skipper after replacing Gerald Phiri Jnr, and he is relishing the opportunity.

Speaking about the development, Chipezeze said:

“I have belief in the boys. I have been trying to push them to take each game as it comes because when you are down there, it’s not nice,

“We have to fight and take each game as it comes in order for us to survive relegation.”

Chipezeze who is still viewed with suspicion by Warriors fans back home has done well for his country since he took over from George Chigova and Edmore Sibanda as Zimbabwe’s first choice goalkeeper.
