Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger, 71, was attacked at an event in South Africa on Saturday by an apparently ‘crazed fan. An unidentified man ran up to Arnold’s back and leapt into a drop-kick manoeuvre, making contact with the actor and propelling him forward. The assailant was immediately swarmed by security and detained. Reports say he was removed from the facility.
Schwarzenegger dismissed any concerns that he may have been hurt saying that he did not realise that he had been kicked until he saw the video.
He tweeted:
Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.
The former governor of California was in Sandton Saturday for a sporting event that bears his name – the Arnold Classic Africa, which hosts kids in a ton of judged sporting events.
