Illegal gold miners shot after charging at armed Byo City rangers

By ZRP: On 31/12/19 in Byo, some City rangers who were on patrol came across illegal gold panners at Upper Ncema Dam, Esgodini. The rangers tried to disperse the panners by warning shots but they did not take heed.
The panners then headed towards the rangers who accidentally fired at them, injuring three in the process. The three are currently admitted in Hospital under police guard.
In an unrelated case:
In Epworth on 22/12/19 a 25 year old man was found lying helplessly near Overspill Pharmacy. It is suspected that the man could have been assaulted during a robbery. The man was ferried to Chitungwiza Hospital and later transferred to Parirenyatwa where he passed away in the ICU.
