PICTURES Don’t Lie: Paul Kagame Caught Offside on Chamisa, ICT story

KIGALI: President Paul Kagame of Rwanda has been caught offside after he declined ever meeting with the MDC-T President Nelson Chamisa and dismissed claims that Chamisa helped formulate his country’s ICT policies.

In a social media reaction to Chamisa’s weekend claims that he had assisted the recovering African country come up with its ICT policies, President Kagame declined even knowing the MDC-T leader.

“First my name is Kagame not kagama,” wrote Kagame in his official Twitter page.

“Secondly, I don’t know this man and no discussion ever happened with him anywhere, thirdly Rwanda’s ICT policy, projects and program started before MDC formation and politics,” said Kagame.

Addressing a crowd of about 7000 people who braved the scorching heat in Beitbrdge on Saturday, claimed a hand in turning around of genocide ravaged Rwanda which is, today, one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

Chamisa, who was the Zimbabwean ICT minister in the Government of National Unity said he had helped the Rwandese leader come up with the country’s ICT policy after a meeting they held in Geneva Switzerland with former President Robert Mugabe.
