Hwange 7 and 8 expansion project now 82.3% complete

The Hwange 7 and 8 expansion project is now 82.3 percent complete and the commissioning of Unit 7 is expected to take place in November 2022.

Meanwhile, the commissioning of unit 8 is also expected in March 2023.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chief Secretary to the Office of the President and Cabinet Eng Marawa toured the Hwange 7 & 8 project.

His tour took place on the sidelines of the ongoing International Renewable Energy Conference 2022 in Victoria Falls.

Zimbabwe is contending with electricity shortages with the power utility resorting to loadshedding.

Apparently, energy is one of the key drivers of the economy world over.
