A Goromonzi man recently hanged self following a heated argument with his wife who found a lady’s pant in his pocket.
Mashonaland East Police Spokesperson Assistant Inspector Tendai Mwanza confirmed the suicide case.
Ass Insp Mwanza said Robson Chikunda of Tazvitya Village under Chief Chikwaka in Goromonzi on May 5 at around 10 pm ended up committing suicide after being confronted by the wife over a pant which was in his pocket.
Chikunda stormed out of the house to an unknown destination after the heated argument with his spouse, added the police spokesperson.
The deceased was spotted lying unconscious by the roadside by a local villager who wanted to respond to the call of nature.
The villager alerted the man’s spouse who later assisted in ferrying him to a nearby clinic where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
