Renowned investigative journalist Hopewell Chin’ono says the ruling party ZANU-PF is planning to grab his property today.
“The ZANUPF thug Taurai Kandishaya plans to loot my property on Sunday.
“I have instructed my workers not to fight with anyone, let them take.
“It is a side show to distract us, but one that will give the world a front row seat to seeing the property rights abuses in Zimbabwe,” he says.
Meanwhile, the President Emmerson Mnangagwa administration is reportedly planning to strip Chin’ono off his property.
Commenting on the matter recently, human rights defender Dr Alex Magaisa said:
“The regime’s elements spent years mocking Hopewell for his Boer goat project, calling him names like “Mbudziyadhura”.
“But these infantile tactics didn’t work. He carried on & kept holding the regime to account. Now they have shamelessly decided to grab the project from him.”
Chin’ono is a government critic who has been exposing high level corruption involving senior government and ruling party officials.
