HIGHWAY ROBBERY: Motorist loses Mazda Premacy vehicle, US$100 cash, a WI-FI router along Hre-Byo road

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Norton has recorded a case of robbery where a man (49) lost a Mazda Premacy vehicle (ACY 5103), US$100 cash, a WI-FI router, Huawei Y5 cellphone, and a DSTV LNB, to two unknown suspects at the 24 km peg along Harare-Bulawayo Road.

The incident happened on 26 April 2022.

The complainant offered a lift to the duo who posed as genuine transport seekers destined for Norton, at the Whitehouse bus stop.

Along the way, the suspects attacked the complainant and took away his valuables before dumping him on the roadside.

Meanwhile, the police has since launched investigations into the matter.

Apparently, ZRP is on record urging motorists to be wary on the roads by avoiding offering rides to unknown people.
