Police in Murehwa have arrested Panashe Shamuyarira (20) for stock theft which occurred on 4th April 2022.
Acting on a tip, police nabbed the suspect, who is the complainant’s domestic worker, who was left in custody of a head of 10 cattle while the complainant was away.
The suspect was caught while trying to sell a cow to a butchery operator for US$200 without the owner’s knowledge.
Meanwhile, on another case, on 04/04/22, police in West Nicholson arrested Doubt Munsaka (23) for attempted robbery and recovered a revolver gun.
The suspect together with two others, who are still at large, pounced at a local business man’s house at Rodgers Compound before pointing the firearm at the complainant while demanding cash.
The victim wrestled one of the suspects, who was holding a revolver gun, while calling for assistance from neighbours.
On noticing that the neighbours were coming to rescue the complainant, the two other suspects escaped.
The suspect was apprehended and disarmed by the public.
