Have conscience to do what’s right- Mliswa implores Service Chiefs

Norton independent Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa has implored the government and the current crop of Service Chiefs to do what is right by not neglecting the welfare of National Heroes’ surviving spouses.

Mliswa says while the current Service Chiefs have farms, homes, and the likes, the widows of late Generals, Commanders of the struggle do not have, adds that the spouses in their own right played their part in liberating the country from colonial bondage.

He writes:

I’ve a gripe with the government’s neglect to cater for the welfare of the surviving spouses of National Heroes.

We acknowledge the great sacrifices and contributions these gallant late heroes and heroines made during their lifetime, but are failing to take care of spouses and their families.

The government and Service Chiefs must have the conscience to do what’s right. They have homes and farms whilst widows like Mai Tongogara, Mai Mangena etc don’t.

These are the widows of Generals, Commanders of the struggle, who in their own right played their part as wives. Let’s do what’s right.
