Harare Woman Loses US$62k to Robbers

A 47-year-old Harare woman was on Wednesday robbed of US$62 150 after three armed robbers pounced on her residence in the plush Glernlorne suburb, national police authorities have said.

According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the trio was armed with an unidentified pistol.

The ZRP is investigating a robbery case where a woman (47) was robbed US$62 150 cash on 09/11/22 at around 1330 hours in Glenlorne, Harare by three unknown suspects,” said the police in a tweet.

The ZRP added, saying:

The suspects who were armed with an unidentified pistol pounced at the complainant’s residence and went to the bedroom where she was counting cash. They threatened her with a firearm before stealing the cash. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station“.
