Harare businessman, MacCloud Zvavaviri Mapanga was allegedly shot dead by his wife after a domestic dispute on Monday.
The State claims that Bridget Makaza, 34, a Coventry-United Kingdom based nurse, found out that Mapanga, who owned Kurai Buses, had married a second wife and the couple had a long standing marital dispute.
According to State papers allegations are that on May 14, at around 3am Makaza took advantage that her husband was asleep, she took a gun and used it to shoot him on the neck and shoulder.
After the offence, she screamed raising an alarm and feigned an armed robbery alleging that Mapanga had been shot by armed robbers.
As people were responding to the false alarm, she reportedly drove from the scene and threw away the firearm that she had used in the reeds along Mukuvisi River near the intersection of Bishop Gaul and West Roads.
After concealing the firearm, she reportedly proceeded to ZRP Marbelreign and filed a false report alleging that Mapanga was shot dead by armed robbers.
Sebastian Mutizirwa appeared for the State.
