Harare model Tafadzwa Mushunje launches $1million lawsuit over HIV/AIDS case

Tafadzwa Mushunje made headlines last month when she was wrongly accused of infecting her lover’s child with HIV infected blood.

She later walked free after medical tests proved that she and the 2 year old boy were HIV negative.

Tafadzwa’s lawsuit against the Daily News has been made because she contends thatthe Daily News’ coverage of the case caused her damage to her reputation and dignity — necessitating recompense to the staggering tune of $1 million.

A number of people have expressed shock given that the newspaper was not the original source and that court matters are for public consumption.

The case was covered widely in different Zimbabwe newspapers and social media.
