It is alleged that early Tuesday evening Milia Nzou (Mai Nokutenda) of 3054 Mkoba 5 poisoned Vivian her six month old baby with a pesticide after having an ensued fight with her husband over the paternity of the baby

An impeccable source who witnessed part of the drama told this reporter that, “Mai Nokutenda bulleted out of her house holding tightly to her baby who was having convulsions, she came towards us and told us that the baby was suffering from dehydration (Nhova), instantly the baby started vomiting and the vomits were stinking with pesticide.”

“After realising that the baby had been poisoned, we asked Mai Nokutenda what had transpired but she only told us that the baby was eating jiggies while playing on the bed, we rushed the baby to Mkoba poly clinic were the baby was referred to Gweru provincial hospital where upon arrival the baby was confirmed dead,” said the source.

The source also revealed that the matter was reported to the police and an investigation was going on, she also said it was not Mai Nokutenda first time to be involved in poison issues.

“The matter has since been reported at the Mkoba Police Station, statements were taken and an investigation is still under way.

“She once tried to commit suicide once by trying to poison herself, recently she had a dispute with her husband over the paternity of the baby, this can be the reason why she poisoned her, and maybe she was trying to save her marriage.
