Gvt construct special shrine to bury Mugabe in October

The burial of former President Robert Mugabe will take place in October. Mugabe’s nephew, Leo Mugabe told reporters that Mugabe will be buried in October after a mausoleum has been built, a process that is expected to take 30 days. This was revealed after traditional leaders from Zvimba and government officials visited the gravesite.

The mock burial that was supposed to take place at the National Heroes Acre on Sunday has been cancelled, with Mugabe’s body set to be taken to Zvimba for a traditional funeral programme.

After the body viewing in Zvimba is done, the body will then be brought back to Harare and kept “somewhere” up until the burial place is ready, according to Leo.

Mugabe Burial Shrine Construction Process Begins

Mangwana said:

I don’t know when the engineers will be done with the construction but the engineers have already started designing…..I think people are getting sensational about 30 days. I think what Leo (Mugabe, family spokesperson) was trying to say is that it may take us up to 30 days but this doesn’t mean it will take exactly 30 days without being completed, ….I also don’t know where the body will be during the time of construction.
