Calls for one of the vice presidents to be a woman have increased and for Manicaland Province, the choice can be no other than the First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe.
The holding of the Manicaland Province’s Special Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting saw calls mounting that Dr Mugabe is the obvious choice for the position.
Many of those recommending the move pointed to the country’s quota system, originally presented as a Women’s League resolution at the Zanu PF Annual Conference held in Victoria Falls in 2015.
The philanthropic work that the First Lady has been undertaking has been cited as a key aspect that will make her be a good leader. zbc
