South Africa:The embattled Zanu PF Secretary for Women’s Affairs, Grace Mugabe send her condolences to the family of Shuvai Mahofa following the death of Shuvai Ben Mahofa.
In a statement the First Lady, Dr Mugabe said she was shocked and deeply saddened by the news of the untimely death of a dear colleague at a time when we all thought she was on a recovery path.
Grace said Mahofa played a pivotal role during the liberation struggle and dedicated her entire life for the political and socio-economic development of Zimbabwe before and after independence.
The First Lady said Mahofa was a pillar of strength, a reservoir of knowledge, experience and adviser who worked tirelessly in support of women’s issues.
At her time of death, Mahofa was at loggerheads with Grace after the two found themselves at the opposite end of Zanu PF and Mugabe succession politics with the former strongly backing Mnangagwa presidency at the expense of the later.
