The Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development has warned of armyworm outbreak in some areas in the country.
In a public notice, the ministry urged farmers that if they suspect an infestation, they should report it to their nearest AGRITEX officers or the Migratory Pests Control Department without delay.
The ministry said prompt action is necessary to protect their crops from the devastating effects of the African armyworm.
