The government through the state-run Grain Marketing Board (GMB) has announced producer prices for seven commercial crops for the 2021/ 2022 marketing season.
According to the circular notice just issued, GMB says the new prices is with immediate effect.
From the statement, sugar beans will now be sold at ZW$90 000 per metric ton, groundnuts at ZW$40 000 per metric ton, sunflower ZW$40 000 per metric ton, among other crops.
Meanwhile, the prices of maize and soya beans are already controlled. However, market watchers are advocating for open market as opposed to controlled.
