Nyamuroro Primary School in Gokwe Nembudziya has made a passionate plea to well wishers to assist with funds towards reconstructing classrooms destroyed by a storm on Friday, 20th October, 2017.
A total value of lost property due to the storm is estimated around $85000 and this includes text books, classroom furniture, and classroom blocks.
Over 150 pupils were affected and are now learning under makeshift classrooms, amid calls for urgent help to reconstruct the destroyed infrastructure ahead of the rainy season.
School authorities have made a passionate plea to both the public and private sectors to assist in raising the required funds to rebuild the affected learning buildings.
Gokwe Nembudziya legislator, Cde Justice Mayor Wadyajena added his voice to appeal for emergency assistance to rehabilitate the school and pledged 5000 exercise books.
Nyamuroro primary school is among the most affected in the area as the storm destroyed several buildings and homesteads in Gokwe North.
The Meteorological Services Department has since warned that strong winds will be witnessed in some parts of the country.
