Gokwe man marries sister

Tinashe Zisengwe

A Gokwe man recently did the unthinkable as he married his sister and sired a child with her.

Tinashe Simukanda (29) and his cousin sister Ruth Matemadanda (22) of Simchembo village under Chief Chireya left villagers in shock after the two sired a child together.

It is reported that the two whose mothers are blood sisters started dating sometime in 2016.

“At first we thought it was just agape love, but the two were caught kissing in a bush by their uncle and failed to explain.

“They were ordered to stop the incest but they continued seeing each other,” said a source that preferred anonymity.

Shockingly when this publication interviewed Simukanda he actually thanked God for blessing him with a bouncing baby boy.

“I thank God for blessing me with a baby, what people are accusing me of is now a thing of the past we resolved our disputes as family members.

“If you ask my wife she will tell you that we are happily married,” he said.

Matemadanda also uttered the same words.

“People are always accusing me of dating my brother but we resolved that way back as a family but as of me with my hubby all is well.

Efforts to get a comment on the incest from Chief Chireya were fruitless as his mobile number went unanswered.
