The Crisis In Zimbabwe Coalition, a grouping of civil society and social justice organisations, has elected former Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions president Peter Mutasa as its new chairperson.

The coalition says it will decentralise its activities to enhance organic impact.

The new leaders, elected by 49 member organisations during a virtual annual general meeting yesterday, are as follows:

Chairperson – Peter Mutasa.
Vice-chairperson – Busi Dube.
Spokesperson – Obert Masaraure.
Treasurer – Gamuchirai Mukura.

Formed in August 2001, Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition focuses on democracy, human rights, good governance and sustainable development issues.
