Gweru student drowns in dam..disturbing pictures

A form five Gweru student is reported to have drowned recently while attempting to cross a flooded dam.

The boy identified as Tatenda Mpashe Ndwangu was residing at House Number 898 in Mkoba 4.

At the time of writing zwnews.com could not get all details about what actually transpired.

Gweru Police have since confirmed the tragedy and said investigations are underway.

Many people lost their lives in the Midlands following heavy rains that flooded rivers and low lying lands.

At the moment, most dams are at above 95% capacity posing a risk to people and livestock.
