KWEKWE: 98.4 FM Midlands presenter and Zimpapers correspondent Lovemore Zigara has died.
Zigara (36), reportedly died on his way to Kwekwe District Hospital after the Toyota Wish he was driving was involved in a head-on collision just outside Kwekwe yesterday.
Zigara was driving from his base in Gweru towards Kwekwe to cover a football match when the accident occurred.
Two other people who were in the other vehicle also reportedly died upon admission at the same hospital.
Mr Peter Manoti who was in the same vehicle with Zigara and survived the horrific crash with minor injuries, said Zigara failed to overtake a haulage truck.
“He saw an oncoming car when he was already halfway past the truck, he decided to accelerate but it was too late and the car collided head on with a car that was coming from the opposite side,” he said. zimpapers
