Fire current CIO top brass or bring back Bonyongwe, President Mnangagwa told

President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has been implored to fire the current Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) top brass for doing him a disservice.

It is alleged the current crop of CIO leaders are not loyal to Mnangagwa and are busy planning ahead of him.

Norton Independent Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa says:

“The President should remove the top brass in the CIO even if it means bringing back Bonyongwe who was loyal to the President during his time.

“These guys are not loyal to ED but are already planning for 2028 and who they should have. They are conflicted parties,” he says.

Mliswa says the current Zanu PF primary elections have been an utter fiasco of manufactured winners and use of illegal parallel structures.

He adds that at the centre of the mess is the Forever Associates of Zimbabwe (FAZ) led by Deputy Director of CIO Rtd Brigadier Tapfumaneyi.

He went on to say during the just ended ZANU PF primary elections, in Zvimba South people were victimised and attacked by CIO personnel under FAZ working to advance Tapfumaneyi’s agenda.

“At Kingswood polling station people were threatened with guns and the polling station opened at 2.

“At a polling station called PaJim people were given $5 each& sat down on the ground. Out of the 30 cells in the area they brought only 5 because for the rest they had fake lists which they created. This means all the results from the area are not a reflection of people’s choices.

“The whole compound in Little England has been under siege this week from the FAZ personnel. People were victimised and their general decision is that come the general elections it will be bhora musango. People are now scared to stay in their homes,” he said.

Apparently, Happyton Bonyongwe was the CIO boss during late former President Robert Mugabe’s era.
