EX-ZANU PF MP blasts gvt for shutting schools in fear of Cyclone Freddy

Former ZANU PF Member of Parliament for Chivi South Killer Zivhu has blamed the Meteological Services Department for causing closure of schools on account of Cyclone Freddy.

Zivhu says if the department is not sure of anything it should keep quiet.

“Next time Met Department kana musina shuwa, please don’t stop our children to go to school, fix your machines please,” he says.

His comments came after the government closed schools on Friday for fear of Cyclone Freddy.

The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has ordered schools in Harare not to open for lessons on Friday as a precaution against tropical cyclone Freddy.

In a notice circulated on school WhatsApp groups, the Ministry said pupils should stay at home.

Apparently, the Cyclone Freddy is reported to have entered the country with little damage reported in Chipinge.
