Epworth man killed for trying to stop ‘fighting couple’

Police in Epworth are investigating circumstances surrounding a murder case in which Tinei Mamvura (40) died whilst admitted at a local poly clinic on 04/05/22 after he was assaulted by Timothy Hazvirambwi (40) on 02/05/22 at Makomo Extension.

The victim had intervened to resolve an argument between the suspect and his wife and this did not go well with the suspect.

In an unrelated matter, the Zimbabwe Republic Police is investigating a robbery case which occurred in Newlands, Harare on 06/05/22 at about 0400 hours.

The complainant (52) who is a private security guard was on duty when he was approached by three suspects who were armed with an unidentified pistol.

The suspects tied the complainant with a rope before stealing a safe containing US$ 300 000 cash.
