A very exciting weekend is on the cards in as far as Zimbabwe’s entertainment scene is concerned and fan will be spoilt for choice.

A number of entertaining shows are lined up countrywide and of course, abroad as Zimbabwean artists showcase their talent to their multitude of fans.

Here is what to expect:

*Devine Assignments Hosts Macheso In Zvishavane*
Zimbabwe’s uncle in entertainment, Devine Assignments will host sungura ace Alick ‘Baba Shero’ Macheso and the Orchestra Mberikwazvo Band for a live night performance in the mining town of Zvishavane on Saturday. The gig will be hosted in collaboration with the town’s sole radio station, YA FM at Radio Park.

Baba Shero will share the stage with Zvishavane’s Godfree Moyo known as “Goda Moyo” in music circles and event kicks off at 8pm. Tickets: $5

Tonight Baba Shero rocks Gulez Gardens in Kwekwe alongside fellow sungura musician Somandla Ndebele and the Denda Brothers from 8pm till late. Admission: $5.

*Amapiano-Zimdancehall Fest*
Music lovers in the United Kingdom expect fireworks tomorrow as talented Zim dancehall musicians Tocky Vibes, Poptain, Jah Master and Nox share the stage with South African Amapiano finesse Busta99, Pabi Cooper and Boohle at 2 Skinner Street Wolverhampton.

With highly anticipated line-up announcements and tickets selling out, events manager and promoter Prince Farai Mudzingwa aka Mr Styllz hosts the gig in a bid to promote all kind of music genres.

*Sulu Chimbetu In Epworth, Ruwa*
Zimbabwean dendera king Suluman Chimbetu and the Dendera Kings light up your weekend as they perform at Landmark Bar in Epworth tonight from 8pm till late. Admission: $5

Tomorrow the dendera crooner will host a special show with sungura maestro, Alick Macheso’s sons, Esau and Tatenda at Leisure Centre from 6pm till late.

*Zim Dancehall @Werras Park*
Top Zim dancehall musicians, Freeman, Enzo Ishall,Seh Calaz, Blot, Bazooka, Boss Pumacol and Darula stage a show tonight to commemorate Werras Park first anniversary at the new shops in Glenview 1. This is a gig that ghetto youths can not afford to miss. Admission:$5

*Mark Ngwazi @Kules Bar*
Down town Harare is going to be lit in sungura style as ‘Nyaradzo yababa’ hitmaker, Mark Ngwazi and the Njanja Express Band thrill fans at Kules Bar, corner Harare Street and Charter.

*‘Tiri Vemuma Streets Album Launch’*
Popular Zim dancehall chanter Killer T’s legion of fans are in for a super treat this Saturday as he launches his new album ‘Tiri Vemuma Streets’ at Jongwe Corner in Chinhoyi. Supporting acts include Freeman, Enzo Ishall and EXQ. UBAs and USAs in the town will have a chance to ease a little bit from their demanding academic schedule. Admission:$10 and $20 VIP.

*Andy Muridzo @Sherwood Golf Club*
Talented contemporary musician Andy Muridzo and Jeetaz Band will be rocking Sherwood Golf Club tonight from 7pm till midnight. Admission: $5

Tomorrow, the music entertainers Jeetaz are up for a majestic show at Majestic Club, Budiriro 1 shops alongside sungura artist Senator Tichareva and Skylimit Express from 8pm till late. Admission:$5

*Peter Moyo & Progress Chipfumo In Mash Central*
Sungura fans in Mashonaland Central Province are in for a spin as Peter Moyo and Utakataka Express alongside Progress Chipfumo and Sounds of the Motherland jump-start the weekend tonight at Tiringindi Gardens in Mount Darwin. Admission:$5

Tomorrow the duo wrap up their weekend in Shamva at Whiskey Palace Bar, Wadzanai Shops from 8pm till late. Admission:$5.

*Pcee & Justin99 In Harare*
Popular South African music sensation Pcee & Justin99 are in Harare. The Kilimanjaro hitmakers are set to thrill fans at Wood Pub and Grill tomorrow from 7pm till late supported by local DJs C Skillz, Burtler and many others. Admission:$5 and VIP:$10.

*Voltz Jt Birthday Celebration*
Make a date with hip hop star Voltz Jt tonight as he celebrates his birthday supported by Andile Brown, Daniel Lite, Mc Gully and many others at Woods Pub and Grill.

*Holy Ten In Gwanda*

Bar Rouge hosts Afro-fusion night with Garry Tight and the Tight Family tomorrow from 7pm till late, at Harare’s Longcheng Plaza. Admission:$5.

*Family Show With Kurai Makore*
