Mnangagwa in SA: Doctors still checking for traces of poison

SOUTH AFRICA: President Emmerson D Mnangagwa reportedly went out of the country  to the neighbouring country with government sources indicating he had gone for “medical check-ups”.

“He went to South Africa  for medical check-ups. After the poisoning last year, his doctors advised he should continue to be checked regularly until he is in the clear. It’s not that he is in any danger but they want to continue checking for traces of the poison,” claimed a high level government source.

Mnangagwa nearly died in August 2017 after he reportedly ate a poisoned ice cream sourced from the Grace Mugabe owned Gushungo Dairy.

He was saved by military medical personnel who airlifted him to South Africa while he was vomiting blood and losing consciousness.

Mugabe’s family has since distanced itself from the issue saying they have no knowledge of the source or cause of Mnangagwa’s illness.
