Kembo Mohadi, Oppah Muchinguri airlifted to SA, seriously injured in Byo

Mohadi seriously injured, grenade shrapnel pieced Muchinguri’s chest..Mnangagwa

TANZANIA: President Mnangagwa revealed during a press statement that Vice President Mr Kembo Mohadi and Minister Oppah Muchinguri had to be airlifted to South Africa after a live hand grenade was thrown at them in Bulawayo last
Saturday.

He named senior Government officials who were injured during Saturday’s assassination attempt.

 

Vice President Kembo Mohadi, he said, was seriously injured and had to be airlifted to South Africa, where he is now recovering.

Minister Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri was also taken to South Africa where she was operated on, as shrapnel reportedly pierced her chest.

The two are still in hospital.
