DREAM COME TRUE as property mogul Ken Sharpe brings Dubai to Zimbabwe

West Property CEO Kenneth Sharpe’s long held vision to import Dubai into Zimbabwe is taking shape with 112 “Dubai-style” apartments in Millennium Heights.

For some, it was a far fetched dream at first, but it is now official, the sky is the limit for West Property as construction of the 112 “Dubai-style” apartment units in Millennium Heights Block 3 continues to soar.

With work now focused on the superstructure, this four-story affordable lifestyle block is on track to be completed by Q2 2024. And that’s not all – Block 4 is hot on its heels with plans to offer 86 studio to three-bedroom apartments across six cascading floors.

While Block 3 is already almost sold out, sales for Block 4 are moving at lightning speed. And this is just the beginning, folks.

Over the next 10 years, West Property has big plans to construct a total of 1000 apartment units in Millennium Heights. Each unit boasts unique features to bring diversity to the architectural design and avoid monotony.

At a recent event to mark the handover of Block 2, West Property CEO Sharpe took the stage to remind the nation of the company’s mission to “Bring Dubai to Zimbabwe”.

In his words, “We are playing our part in rebuilding Zimbabwe and contributing to the middle-income society by 2030. Our aim is to bring the same beauty and splendour that attracts visitors to Dubai, right here to Zimbabwe,” he said.

Sharpe added that West Property was creating safe, gated communities where residents can live, work, play, and shop all in one place. Amenities include sports facilities for tennis, swimming, running, and walking tracks, braai areas, crèches, churches, co-working spaces, shopping malls, and internet connectivity, powered by green energy in the form of solar power.

And the cherry on top? A royal experience to live in style. The blocks of apartments are set against the stunning backdrop of Millennium Park, one of West Property’s largest mixed-use lifestyle estates that brings together Millennium Heights, Pokugara Residential Estate, the Mall of Zimbabwe, and several office parks.

Earlier this month, iHarare reported that the Harare City Council had issued a compliance certificate to phase two of the Pokugara Residential Estate development, which includes low-density residential stands, according to West Property.
