Don’t vote for candidates who can’t take care of own parents, Makandiwa speaks on elections

United Family International Church founder Emmanuel Makandiwa has lambasted politicians who seek to be voted into office but are failing to take care of their own parents.

Speaking to his church members during a sermon, Makandiwa said before people vote for someone, they should visit their rural homes and see if they (candidates) are taking good care of parents.

He said any candidate who cannot take good care of parents would bring a curse to their constituencies if voted into office.

Apparently, Norton Independent Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa says Makandiwa raised important point to be considered by people before going to vote.

“This message by Prophet Makandiwa aptly captures an important factor before people go to vote. Voting shouldn’t be a blind exercise.

“Even more than what is said here people should also consider what the aspiring candidate has done for themselves. What does he/ she have?”
