DOES THIS WORK? Mliswa questions Mnangagwa’s attempt to please soldiers, police and CIOs before elections

Norton Independent Member of Parliament Temba Mliswa has questioned alleged attempts by President Emmerson Mnangagwa to please members of security sector ahead of elections.

“It’s clear we are going towards the elections and Gvt wants to make the security sector happy.

“I don’t know if this will make them happy and forget how long they have suffered before this. When elections are done they will be back to square one,” says Mliswa.

He was commenting on a news story alleging that members of the country’s security sector have been awarded 400% pay rise.

“However what is important is whether the salary increments will also cover the rest of the sector to include CIO & Prisons officials.

“Are not these from the same family to be catered for equally. Why favour only the Army & Police. What about the rest of the civil servants?
