Ditched man steals lover’s phone

Tinashe Zisengwe

A ditched man from Mutare who could not swallow the bitter pill of being dumped for another lover recently resorted to stealing his ex-lover’s phone in a bid to fix her.

The court heard that Tinashe madipe (22) stole a Vodafone tablet belonging to his girlfriend Ruvimbo Mafukidze (18) to fix her for hurting his feelings and allegedly cheating on him.

Tinashe is reported to have sold the phone after their relationship turned sour.

Ruvimbo then reported the matter to the police after they failed to resolve the issue amicably.

Pleading in court Tinashe said, “Your worship forgive me l just stole the phone to fix her for hurting my feelings. I loved her so much but she cheated on me.”

Local Magistrate Innocent Bepura slapped him with a one month in custody which was wholly suspended on condition that he pays an amount of $ 80 and return the tablet to the owner
