Zimnews has received news that 4 park rangers working for the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Authority died yesterday, 6 September, 2016, after accidentally drinking water poisoned with the deadly cyanide chemical.
The deaths occurred at Mana Pools National Park, a pristine wilderness located along the Zambezi river near Hurungwe.
The names of the deceased have not been received as investigations are still being carried.
Elephant poachers have recently been targeting Mana Pools, one of the most protected tourist spots in Zimbabwe.
