The Warriors of Zimbabwe has drawn against the Flames of Malawi in a COSAFA group match played this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Warriors captain Ovidy Karuru walked out with the Man of the Match medal.
After a dull nil-all draw with Mozambique in their first encounter, the Warriors technical department made four changes to the team which brought a bit of life as play generally improved.
However, Malawi took a two nil lead before the Warriors rallied back courtesy of goals from the impressive Blessing Sarupinda and a thunderbolt from Ben Musaka.
Sarupinda thrived in a more central role after being restricted to the left wing in the previous encounter and the move paid off as the midfielder was a constant threat.
Man of the match and captain Ovidy Karuru justified why he was selected to lead the team as he led from the front and constantly gave the Malawians headaches.
With a bit composure the Warriors could have snatched a win at the death but they lacked precision in crucial moments.
The draw leaves the Warriors on two points from as many matches with head coach Zdravko Logarusic having won just a single match in the 10 games he has overseen.
