The construction of the multi-million-dollar Museum of African Liberation in Warren Park, Harare, has started.
The museum will house material from all African countries which waged armed struggle in order to liberate themselves and also include countries that may not have taken up arms but were instrumental in the liberation period.
It is one of the ambitious projects by the emerging pan-African think tank — Institute of African Knowledge (Instak).
Other great projects by Instak are The Africa Factbook in association with the Africa Union Commission and the sister publication Book of African Records.
Yesterday, contractors, including a Chinese firm, China Jiangau, and Architrave Design Group, were on the site putting final touches to the landscape.
