Claw Hammer-wielding Assailants Steal Phone, 2 250 Rands

National police authorities have reported that they are on the lookout for three armed robbers who are accused of robbing a 32-year old man from Beitbridge of his cellphone and cash.

According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police, the three assailants were reportedly wielding a claw hammer and an okapi knife during the time they committed the crime along a footpath near Limpopo View in the border town Beitbridge, yesterday.

Said the police on Twitter:

“The ZRP is investigating a robbery case which occurred on 05/05/22 along a footpath near Limpopo View residential stands in Beitbridge.”

“Three suspects who were armed with a claw hammer and an okapi knife attacked the complainant (32) before stealing a cellphone as well as cash all valued at ZAR 2250. Anyone with information to contact any nearest Police Station. #notorobbery,” said the ZRP.
