Cyclone Idai which wrecked havoc and killed more than 400 people in Zimbabwe was caused by Christians who prayed in Chimanimani sacred mountains, a headman from the Ngangu area has said.
The cyclone effects entered Zimbabwe from Mozambique but Ngangu’s headman alleges it all began in Zimbabwe after some unnamed Christians had stolen sacred pots reserved for the ancestors which are kept in the mountain.
” There was an incident before before the cyclone hit the area. Drums were heard blasting loudly, before it all happened.”
He also said, ” You do not pray in this mountain you are not allowed, But they were entering this mountain, thinking that this will increase their powers.
” While they were seeking to increase their powers, they then stole my father’s secret pots.”
