Zimbabwe Home Affairs minister Ignatius Chombo has attacked Zimbabwe diaspora community in the UK and US over their efforts to discredit Mugabe government and the support they gave to This Flag Stay away last week and this week.
Chombo is particularly incensed by the demonstrations in London against finance minister Patrick Chinamasa who had been send to ‘beg money from hostile western nations’.
Chinamasa who visited UK accompanied by Zanu PF billionaire Obert Mpofu was sent home empty handed after failing to get a single investor to fund Zimbabwe government projects.
The so-called asylum seekers in the United Kingdom and United States of America are on the forefront, fomenting hate messages against Government contrary to so-called human rights views that they purport to be advancing,” said Chombo.
He also issued some statement with biased racial stereotypes and undertones;
He attacked Zimbabwe’s white community for their role in anti Mugabe protests.
“It is interesting to note that some former white farmers, and company executives went to the extent of attending Evan Mawarire’s appearance in court and chanting out solidarity messages with him,” said Chombo.
“Some of the former white farmers and individuals went on to record and post videos on the internet inciting the public not to cooperate with authorities in Zimbabwe and stay at home,” he added.
